About Lindsey

In early 2002, when her young son developed asthma, Lindsey Carmichael embarked on a journey of discovery that began with an extensive research process, and led her to receive a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of New Hampshire. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Vermont.
Lindsey has worked in the healthcare field for 15 years and is a frequent speaker about healthy and 'green' living. She lives on the New Hampshire Seacoast with her husband and son. While in graduate school, Lindsey's eyes were opened to the disturbing reality that many of the products we consume contain ingredients known to pose a threat to human health, particularly the health of children. Her role as mother to a young child fueled her desire to create a resource guide that made it easy for others to identify safe food, personal care, and cleaning products.
